We are pleased to announce that our program Water for All has been selected as a finalist in the Private Social Investment and Sustainable Communities category of RedEAmerica! This category recognizes companies that have private social investment projects that contribute to the sustainable development of the communities in which they operate. Projects must have a focus on creating shared value, generating social impact, and sustainable development.
RedEAmerica is a network of companies, organizations, and foundations that work together to promote sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean. The mission of RedEAmerica is to promote private social investment and sustainable development in the region, through the generation of knowledge, the promotion of good practices, and the creation of spaces for dialogue and collaboration among its members.
Since 2014, Pantaleon has invested more than US$722,359 in potable water supply systems to ensure access to water in the communities surrounding Ingenio Monte Rosa in Nicaragua.
In April, a new potable water supply system will be inaugurated in the Kilometer 9 and 10 community. This project was developed thanks to the support of ED&FMAN and Diageo, who together made an approximate investment of US$94,107.
We thank RedEAmerica for recognizing our social commitment, and we will continue working on projects that contribute to the sustainable development of our society.
