More and more women are making their way in the field of machinery operation, a sector that has traditionally been dominated by men. At Monte Rosa Mill, we promote gender equality as part of our best practices in support of equal opportunities. On July 12th, we concluded the “Mujeres al Volante (Women at the Wheel) Program with 20 women from nearby communities who were trained in technical and behavioral skills to operate tractors. This program was supported by internal instructors from the Harvest area, as well as the Community Development and Human Resources teams, who contributed to the social empowerment, professional development, and job opportunities for these women, many of whom are mothers.

We congratulate our machinery operators and encourage them to persist and demonstrate their abilities in the workforce!
