At Ingenio Pantaleón, we firmly believe that training is the key to transforming lives and strengthening rural communities. During this period, 700 people, including employees and members of 46 communities, participated in our Training Schools, developing skills in agricultural machinery operation and specialized competencies.
This program, led with the support of senior management, was made possible through strategic partnerships with the Technical Training and Productivity Institute (INTECAP), municipalities, and community leaders. It has impacted over 160 women, 84% of whom now hold specialized positions in the sugar agroindustry, earning double the minimum wage.
Since 2007, over 4,300 employees have participated in these schools, achieving a 96% career development rate in higher-paying positions.
From 2023 to 2024:
- We implemented 29 programs with a 92% commitment level.
- 100% of vacancies were filled by program graduates.
- 85% of participants secured employment, with 67% working at Pantaleon and the rest employed by regional companies.
