Monte Rosa Mill in conjunction with the West Association of Private Sugar Cane Producers (APRICO), supports sugarcane producers in implementing Good Agricultural Practices as part of our Responsible Sourcing Program.
The program seeks to support cane producers in matters related to safety, labor legislation, the environment and social responsibility. With the assistance of specialized consultants, a personalized action plan and an Operational Manual, producers are able to implement major improvements in their operations.
During the program´s closing event, we gave participating providers a copy of the Operation Manual, a step by step guide to compliance with major health, safety, environment and labor legislation. We also celebrated the achievements of the first cohort of participating producers whom throughout the past year and a half have implemented improvements in their farms. At the event, we also recognized APRICO for their support and contributions.
